- Description:
- This task involves listening to sounds of various pitches through a speaker while seated in an audio testing booth. Sound presented will range from low to high frequencies, and will be played at a comfortable hearing level. For participants new to the APC lab, an audiogram will be measured. The participant is then tasked with ranking the series of tones in order from low to high on a testing computer with a mouse. The participant will be guided through a brief practice of the task, and then complete two conditions of the ranking task, each taking approximately 20-30 minutes. Total time is estimated to be approximately 1.5 hours.
