Description:

You are invited to participate in a research study used to validate a new personality inventory, titled the Loss of Grip Scale. This study is being conducted by Dr. Colin DeYoung and Magdalena March at the University of Minnesota. We are asking you to take part in this research study because you are a healthy adult who is currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota, and has access to the University of Minnesota PsyREP system. If you agree to participate in this study, we will ask you to do the following: You will opt into the study by voluntarily clicking on our study's information within the PsyREP system. Our survey will be hosted in the Qualtrics server. Once you opt in, you will be directed to the Qualtrics interface, where you will first fill out an online consent form at the beginning of the survey. There will be a forced response option and if you do not sign the consent form, you will be directed to the end of the survey. For those who do sign, you will progress through the survey. Upon completion of the survey, you will receive a thank you and a debriefing message to inform you about the purpose of the study. You will be given the option and contact information necessary to withdraw your data if you so choose. Compensation will be in the form of 1-3 REP points (depending on the time spent on the survey) and will be awarded in the usual manner. We anticipate the survey will take you one hour.
